Prova di volo (Flight Attempt)

Intense shades envelop this work. One senses the deep heartbeat of the sculpted subject, the heavy anticipation before the leap, the trembling attempt, the lost desire to merge with one who already knows how to fly.

Immense, his gaze embraces the void — a new human conquest for this descendant of Icarus.

Hands and feet merge with the base, almost sealing humanity’s impossibility of truly rising into the air. While the crow scans the infinite space, the man wavers in expectation. He tries to focus; the wind draws him in. Part of his being is already ready to fly, while another part remains firmly anchored to the base.
