26° Simposio Internazionale di Scultura su pietre del Friuli Venezia Giulia

Marmo Clauzetto

Artwork

It addresses the natural world, looks to organic forms and stops in stone their transit as an offering of perpetuity.

Crescere, the sculpture's title, underscores the concept: it encourages the idea of transformation and change, but contrasts with the material's fixity and its firm temporality. A monumental sculpture, without a plinth, then soars sinuously upward. It seeks balance in the parts that spring from the same stump and tell of circularity and possible alternations. The interplay of solids and voids stands in dialogue with space and light, while in the treatment of the surface, the interior and exterior of the different parts contributes to the intensely dictated sculptural colorism of fullness and emptiness, interior and exterior that the work articulately offers.

His design idea was answered in Clauzetto Marble, which Stefano appreciates for its personality "that one needs to get to know," he says, "and get in tune with it as with a living being."

In 2001 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara. He has been a member of ENAP (National Italian Protected Authors) since 2005.

His artistic career is full of different activities: exhibitions, events and creation of public and private monumental works in marble, granite, travertine, iron and bronze in Italy and abroad.
