The Artwork
Bruchi’s slow, carefully studied and meditative work succeeds in drawing from the block of stone a sort of monument to the female body, perceived in its natural, atmospheric vitality.
The form unfolds through calm, measured and balanced movements, achieving an effectiveness that may at first seem unexpected, yet which, upon closer observation, reveals itself to be sustained by a precise idea and a refined sculptural sensitivity.
The artist
Marco Bruchi, born in Volterra (Tuscany), gradually discovered his artistic path, always remaining faithful to his ideals.
He devoted himself to music, poetry and figurative art, developing a passion for various materials: clay, stone, wood and colour. With a style that is simple yet profoundly expressive, he demonstrates innate qualities and an inner richness clearly reflected in his works.
