The Artwork
This sculpture by Adriana Ghiraldo is a tribute to her native village.
Her works appear as contemporary graphic signs, almost akin to decorative paintings, yet shaped in stone to make their message enduring.
The artist often uses the symbol of the circle to represent the cyclical nature of things and continuous evolution. The search for organic forms, free of sharp edges and corners, led her to create this piece dedicated to the village of Valle.
The interplay between solids and voids, between similar forms of different sizes, evokes gatherings in the village square, conversations among friends and children at play. It is a harmonious convergence, a union of different elements blending together in perfect balance.
