Finestre di sogni dimenticati (Windows of Forgotten Dreams)

The work is a dance between the artist and the stone, which at times allows itself to be guided and at times guides the hand that shapes it. 

The warmth and sinuosity of the forms tell a personal story, where openings become windows through which to look at one’s dreams — reminding us to follow them and strive to achieve them. 

The abstract content is expressed through essential volumes, where fluid yet sharp lines define the smooth outer surfaces in contrast with the intensely scratched inner ones. 

Paola Pascoli and Piera Sgiarovello

Noemi Palacios was born in Barcelona. After attending various courses in sculpture, painting, drawing and ceramics, she graduated in sculpture in 2005 from the School of Plastic Arts “La Llotja”. She later attended specialised stone-carving courses at the “Pau Gargallo” school. 

She currently works as a freelance artist and collaborates with sculptor Mariano Andrés Vilella. Frequently selected and awarded in exhibitions, she has participated in international sculpture symposia since 2003, not only in Spain but also in Italy, France and the USA.
