The Artwork
Aelita, the protagonist of a Russian science fiction novel, is a daughter of the stars, an inhabitant of other worlds — an ideal woman, alien, a perfect metaphor for the cosmos and universal energy.
Yet within the contrast between figurative and abstract elements lies a second allegorical meaning, requiring a deeper interpretation of what the image suggests. The female figure becomes a representation of the very dynamics of thought, evolving and transforming through dialogue and encounter with others.
