Ascolta la terra (Listen to the Earth)

For many years, the artist has worked with natural and primordial elements: water, air, fire and earth. For him, it is essential to create works that enter into dialogue with the environment in which they are placed. His aim is to involve the viewer and allow them to look beyond form and matter, reflecting instead on an idea, a concept.

He often uses natural and reclaimed materials and, for many years, has intervened in natural contexts with works destined to disappear. In this way, following the principles of what is known as Art in Nature, he has been among the first artists in Italy to respect the environment while enriching it with humanity and beauty.

In this work created in Reana del Rojale, he invites us to “listen to the earth”: to draw closer to the ground, perceive its sounds and engage in a “sensory” experience capable of bringing us nearer to what is most authentic and tangible, beyond the surface.

This sculpture — with its suggested roundness and hidden cavities — is a hymn to the earth, clearly intended to encourage silence and contemplation of a secret.

A mysterious energy emanates from the stone — an energy that is the very soul of the material. It asks to be listened to, not merely admired, in an empathetic fusion of hearing and sight — something well known to the philosophy of art, deeply cherished by the artist, and nourished by the purest science.
